PIP review progress 

MP Sir Stephen Timms and co-chairs of the Timms review have said they will be “radical in our thinking and bold in our recommendations for reform” of personal independence payments (PIP) in their interim report.

The review chairs conclude: “Our message is simple: PIP is not working.”

The full report is expected in autumn this year.

Free bus travel all day

Prime Minister Andy Burnham has announced that eligible disabled people in England will get free bus travel all day from 1 April 2027, in a bid to support more people to get to work and education.

At the moment, disabled bus pass users can only travel for free between 9:30am and 11pm, but CEO of Bus Users UK, Lydia Horbury says disabled people “don’t live off-peak lives”.

Following Hull City's Matt Crooks sharing his epilepsy story and Spain's Lamine Yamal's dad missing being at the World Cup final because of his epilepsy, now Bayer Munich forward Jamal Musiala has been diagnosed with absence seizures after collapsing twice this month.
